A quick trip down to Amwell to see if there were any early migrants and just as I got to the Viewpoint I met Barry Reed who kindly mentioned that the Iceland Gull that had been seen the previous evening was still present. It was initially distant but came in closer, firstly on the "goalposts" and then in front of the Viewpoint. I believe a 3rd Calendar bird and when the sun shone, it looked almost white!
A cracking bird which departed just after noon, so allowed a few people to connect with it. No sign of any early Spring migrants, but a couple of Oystercatchers were welcome visitors.
And to finish the morning off and add to the Gull total, a Yellow-legged Gull!
